Well today we are going to look at the University of Kentucky Wildcat's recruiting class. This past season Kentucky finished the year 7-6, losing the bowl game however, 13-21 to ACC runner up Clemson. Head Coach Rich Brooks retired and Coach In-Waiting Joker Philips takes over in his first year as Head Coach.

Batteman: While I feel like they covered all of the needs in this class I do not feel like they brought in the right kind of talent that a team that has gone to 4 consecutive bowl games should be bringing in. There are a couple of players I like in this class in RB Brandon Gainer, if he can put on a little more weight (6'0 196) I feel like he could be a great back that can take 25+ carries a game and carry the team, and TE Alex Smith, solid blocker with solid hands. Other than that I am sure there are going to be a couple of surprises but I think that this a poor class in the SEC. Rich Brooks was great at taking little talent and turning it in to a Bowl Team. I don't know that Joker Philips is going to have that kind of success.
Grade Rating
A - Should make an impact IMMEDIATELY, great player expected to eventually be a top pro prospect. The kind of guy you tell your kids/grandkids about.
B - Can make an impact within the first year or two that he steps on campus. Great Pro Potential, and an eventual Star in the SEC.
C - Could develop in to a solid starter with some pro potential.
D - Developmental talent but lacks the physical tools to really be a star in the SEC. Most likely a special teams contributor or role player. Probably stolen from the Sun Belt.
F - Sleeper; Project Player; not enough information to really get an idea about the player. Most likely not going to make an impact until late in college career.
