2010 Signing Day Recap: LSU Tigers

Hey there guys,
Today we are going to go over the LSU Bayou Bengals, who had another rough year for Les Miles as they went 9-4 (5-3) and lost the Capitol Bowl to Penn State 17-19. Les Miles needs a good year this year or he may be on his way out.

Sunday Feb 28th Picks.....

Hey there guys,
Sorry this is up so late but I had work from 7-1 to so I am just now getting done writing this. Yesterday was a decent day for me as I went 4-2 in SEC Men's Basketball as Tennessee upset #2 Kentucky in a great game which saw Kentucky fight back from being down 19 but Tennessee holding on in the end for their second upset of a top 5 team at home this season, Vanderbilt defeated Arkansas fairly easily 89-72, Ole Miss came from being down 11 in the second half to take out Alabama 76-73, Georgia upset Florida at home 78-76 for another big win for the Dogs as they gain momentum and confidence for next season, Mississippi State kept their NCAA Tournament hopes alive with a 76-63 win at South Carolina, and Auburn took out LSU 74-59. In the NBA I went 5-2 as Derron Williams (35pts 13ast) lead the Utah Jazz in a big win at home over the Houston Rockets, the Trail Blazers on in Minnesota behind the great performance off the bench by Nicloas Batum (31pts 7reb 7ast), Zach Randolph dominated the Knicks in the post as he got 31 points and 25 boards as the Grizzlies beat the Knicks in New York, and oh by the way the Nets beat the Celtics in Boston. No I am serious. Anyway today we've got some solid NBA games as the Suns and Spurs meet up in San Antonio, then the Nuggets head over to Los Angeles to play the Lakers in what could be a preview of the Western Conference Finals, and Red Hot Milwaukee heads over to Atlanta to help their position in the playoffs. BUT the BIGGEST Game of All is when the United States Hockey Team faces off against Canada for the Gold Medal at 2:15pm. USA USA. Hope you guys enjoy.

Saturday Feb 27th Daily Thoughts and Picks.....

Hey there guys,
Yesterday was a rough day for me. I went 6-6 in the NBA. It was awful. Sigh. The Hornets, behind David West's 40 points and 10 boards came from behind to derail the Orlando Magic, Cleveland, without Shaw, took out Toronto, without Chris Bosh, in overtime, and Dirk Nowitzki dropped 37 points on the Hawks as the Mavericks won in overtime. Sigh. Today I am going to talk a little about the SEC and the Olympics, to go along with some pretty good games today. In SEC Men's Basketball we've a group of good ones as Kentucky tries to wrap up the SEC as they head to Knoxville to take on the upset hungry Tennessee Volunteers, Vanderbilt travels to the Ozarks to play Arkansas, Ole Miss and Alabama square off in Tuscaloosa, Florida tries to lock up an NCAA Bid at Georgia, Mississippi State is fighting for their postseason life at South Carolina, and LSU looks for SEC Win #2 at Auburn. In the NBA there are some good ones as well as Milwaukee heads to Miami in a battle of playoff teams, Memphis plays at New York in what I think will be a very good one, and in another low key game that I can't wait to see the Pistons play at Golden State. Hope you guys enjoy.

Friday Feb 26th Picks.....

Hey there guys,
Sorry this is up so late as I did not get off work till noon than after getting lunch I passed out and just woke up. Yesterday was a pretty good day for me as I went 2-0 in SEC Basketball as Georgia came to play and gave Vanderbilt all they could want but the Commodores would eventually pull it out 96-94 in over time, and Kentucky drummed South Carolina in the upset rematch. In the NBA I went 2-1 as Lebron put up 36 points and 9 boards in the Cavaliers first win in Boston in their last 7 attempts, and Chauncey Billups (37pts) out-dueled Stephen Curry (30pts) as the Nuggets took out the Warriors 127-112. Because of how late this is I am going to hold off on the Daily Thoughts portion, as I don't really have time, but tomorrow I am going to be covering SEC Fans, Lindsey Vonn's performance in the Olympics, and than talk a little about the draft and combine. Today there are just NBA Games but there are some good ones with Dallas, fresh off a win over the Lakers, travel to Atlanta to take on the Hawks, the Cavaliers are looking for another big road win, this time at Toronto, the Trail Blazers head to Chicago to take on the Bulls in what I think will be a great game, Charlotte heads to Memphis as two struggling teams try to get back in to the playoff mix, the Spurs stay in state to face the Rockets, and Vince Carter looks to repeat his 48 point performance against the Hornets earlier this month as they head too New Orleans this time. Hope you guys enjoy.

Thursday Feb 25th Daily Picks.....

Hey there guys,
Due to a research paper there will be no thoughts in today's post but they will resume tomorrow along with the Recruiting Recap, which will go over LSU. Anyway yesterday was another OK day, I still have the combine on my mind haha, and I went 2-1 in SEC Basketball as LSU pulled off their first victory of the season, and even though I picked Arkansas I did mention in the power rankings in LSU's section that I would not be surprised if they won at least one or even all of their final games, Ole Miss went on a 40-17 run in the 2nd half to come back and win 85-75, and Mississippi State played a great game with Alabama and the Bulldogs held on to their NCAA Hopes by claiming first place in the SEC West with a 74-66 win. In the NBA I went 8-3 as Utah got by Charlotte by 9 behind Carlos Boozer dropped 33 points and 16 rebounds, Dwight Howard got yet another double double (30pts 16rbs) as the Magic defeated the Rockets in Houston, and Luol Deng dropped 31 as the Bulls beat the Pacers by 10. Today there are some pretty good games, in the SEC it's payback time for ranked teams who were upset by the teams they play today as South Carolina travels to Kentucky and Georgia makes a trip North to Vanderbilt. In the NBA Cleveland travels to Boston in a potential playoff match up on TNT tonight. Should be a good one. Hope you enjoy.

Wednesday Feb 24th Daily Thoughts and Picks.....

Hey there guys,
Yesterday was an "eh" kind of day for me as far as my picks went. Florida defeated Tennessee behind a 27-6 run in the 2nd half. Woof. And why is it that the Vegas favorite covers the spread against a ranked team and the headline says that they"stunned" or "pulled off the upset"???? Florida was the 3 point FAVORITE!! I don't understand. Anyway in the NBA I went 4-4 as Kobe Bryant, in his first game back, knocked down 32 points including another game winner as they defeated Memphis by 1, the Suns upset the Thunder in the OKC despite Durantula's 36 points, and Cleveland finally won a game after their big trade, defeating the Hornets by 10 even though one New Orleans bench player, Marcus Thornton, outscored Cleveland's entire bench, as he dropped 37 points, 23 in the 3rd quarter alone. Well today I have some thoughts on the discussion about LaDanian Tomlinson as well some more thoughts on Olympic Hockey. As far as the games go we have got some solid SEC West Games as Arkansas travels to LSU, a dangerous game, Auburn heads over to Ole Miss, the coldest team in the SEC, and in a game I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE, Alabama heads to Starkville to play Mississippi State in a match up of the two best defenses in the SEC. Should be fun. In the NBA there are some great games with Memphis traveling to play at Washington as they try to fight to hold on to their playoff life, Portland hops across the border to play Toronto in a match up of playoff teams from separate conferences, the Magic play the Rockets in Houston, Durantula takes the Thunder down to Texas to play the Spurs in a great match up, the Lakers play the Mavericks on the road in a potential playoff preview, and in what should be a fun game the healthy Pistons play the Clippers in LA, while Kobe is away. Hope you guys enjoy.

Tuesday Feb 23rd Daily Thoughts and Picks.....

Hey there guys,
Well guys it is almost time for the NFL Draft Combine (Feb 24-Mar 2) and it's sometimes hard to focus on other sports. That may be why I messed up some yesterday. I went 2-3 in the NBA as Gerald Wallace dropped 32 points and 15 boards as the Bobcats blew an early 4th quarter lead in a 98-94 loss to the Clippers, Andrew Bogut pulled down 20 rebounds and scored 24 points and the Bucks upset the New York Knicks on the road yesterday, and the Atlanta Hawks upset the Utah Jazz behind Joe Johnson's game leading 28 points. Today we've got some good games including Tennessee traveling to Florida as both teams look to lock up some NCAA invites, and then in the NBA we've got some great games as the Phoenix Suns travel to the OKC to take on the Thunder in a battle of likely playoff teams, the Lakers travel to Memphis as the Grizzlies try to get back on track as they take on the best team in the NBA right now, and then a couple of good games between some of the lower end teams as Detroit takes on Sacramento and Philadelphia takes on Golden State. Those games should be pretty good as well. Well as always guys I hope you enjoy.

Feb 22nd Power Rankings

Hey there guys,
In this weeks power rankings we see some shifting after a very interesting week of Basketball. In the SEC we see the rise of the Florida Gators continue to happen as with two very solid wins they head in to a critical part of their schedule on the right side of the bubble while on the flip side we saw Ole Miss flop in two games in which they were favored, must wins really, that have essentially killed their dreams of an NCAA Birth. In the NBA we have a new leader atop the board as Cleveland has entered into a slump so the Lakers, who were still pretty good despite not having Kobe, jump into #1. The NBA's top riser was may be the Detroit Pistons, now that they are healthy, are playing some competitive basketball, and the top loser was the Atlanta Hawks after a bad upset on the road against the Golden State Warriors. Hope you enjoy.

Monday Feb 22nd Picks

Hey there guys,
Here we are again at yet another Monday. Woo Hoo. Sunday was a pretty good day for me. Not only did Team USA beat Team Canada, the overwhelming favorite, on their home ice, 5-3, but I also went 7-2 in NBA Yesterday. Oklahoma City, the hottest team in the NBA, won AGAIN as Russell Westbrook continued his own personal hot streak as he put down a triple double (22pts/10reb/14ast), Stephen Curry dropped 32 points and grabbed 9 boards in the Warriors home upset of the Atlanta Hawks, Lebron James lead his team in points (33), rebounds (9), and assists (6), as the Cavaliers dropped yet ANOTHER game losing at Orlando by 6, and Carlos Boozer had a great game, 22 points 23 rebounds, and he made the game tying buzzer beating shot that sent the game in to overtime where the Jazz would eventually win. Well today there is not much going on but there are a couple of NBA games that I am keeping my eye on as Chicago goes on the road to Washington as the Bulls try to keep up their winning ways, and the Hawks head out to Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Jazz in a battle of NBA Final Dark Horses. Hope you enjoy.

Sunday Feb 21st Picks

Hey there guys,
Sorry this is a little late but I had work from 7-1 this morning. Anyway yesterday was an ok day for me. I went 3-3 in SEC Basketball as Ole Miss turned the ball over 15 times in a loss to Florida, Tennessee played solid defense keeping Devan Downey under 20 points for the first time during conference play, Alabama blew yet another second half lead as Georgia won by 7, Miss State struggled after the close game against Kentucky but still pulled out the must win against LSU, A.J. Ogilvy missed a game tying mid range runner as Kentucky take a 2 game lead in the SEC with a win in Nashville, and Auburn took a good win at home against Arkansas. In the NBA I went 6-1 as DeMarcus Granger dropped 37 in a road upset of the Rockets, David Lee, a very underrated center, put up 30pts and 10 reb in an overtime loss to Russell Westbrook (31pts 10ast) and the Thunder. Anyway we've got some great NBA games today as the Cleveland Cavaliers take their 2 game losing streak into Orlando to face the Magic, Boston comes rolling into Denver with the NBAs best road record, and Houston travels to New Orleans as both teams fight for their playoff lives. Hope you guys enjoy.

NASCAR UPDATE

Jamie McMurray wins the Daytona 500

Welcome to Nascar. A rapidly growing sport in America. I'm extremely excited about writing this article for this years Nascar Sprint Cup Series. Mostly I will cover a Pre-Race Info like Qualifying, Track: Location, Size, Distance, and who won the year before., and what to expect. and then a Post-Race. Also since most of you readers know Danica Patrick is racing for the Nationwide Series, I will keep an eye on her progress and updates throughout the season.

Saturday Feb 20th Daily Thoughts and Picks

Hey there guys,
Well yesterday was a little rough for me as I went 7-5 as the Mavericks upset Orlando on the road despite yet another double double by Dwight Howard (29/16), the Jazz took out the Warriors on the road behind a 30pt 16reb effort by Carlos Boozer (must be happy he wasn't traded huh?), and the Hornets kept themselves in the playoff hunt behind Darren Collison's triple double and David West's 29 points as they nudged by the Pacers 107-101. Anyway well today I will cover what I thought of Tiger's Statement yesterday, and I have some random thoughts on the NBA. There are also some great games in SEC Men's Basketball as Florida goes on the road to face Ole Miss in a must win game for both teams, Tennessee tries to avoid being upset as they hold on to their March Madness lives on the road at South Carolina, two good defenses face off as Alabama travles to Georgia, Miss State is looking to keep their focus at LSU after a close loss to Kentucky, speaking of the Wildcats they take on Vanderbilt as winner will be in first place in the East, and SEC West leader Arkansas goes on the road to face off against Auburn. In the NBA there are also some good games as Philadelphia takes on the Bulls, who are looking to hold onto their playoff spot, the "red hot" Heat travel to Dallas to take on the Mavericks, and the Bobcats look to gain a spot in the playoff standings on the Bucks as they take them on in Milwaukee. Hope you enjoy.

Friday Feb 19th Daily Thoughts and Picks

Hey there guys,
First off I want to apologize for the lack of writing in yesterday's thoughts and picks post and that I went without my Olympic watch post. I have been having some major computer problems as of late but I am working on getting those problems fixed. Today we have no problems. As far as my picks went I was 1-1 in SEC Men's Basketball as Florida played a surprisingly close game against Auburn, whose DeWayne Reed dropped 22, but the Gators held on for the W, and Vanderbilt pretty much locked up their NCAA appearance with their defeat of Ole Miss on the road behind A.J. Ogilvy's dominating performance with 27 pts and 8 boards. I went 0-2 in NBA however as Nuggets won on the road despite Lebron James triple double (43 POINTS 13 REB 15 ASSISTS!!!). Carmelo dropped 40pts and Kenyon Martin's double double (18pts 17rbs) were just too much for the Cavs who were playing short handed in the post as they await Antwawn Jamison's first game, and following that the Celtics handed the Lakers their first loss without Kobe, and also paid them back for the 1 point loss back in Boston. Well today I have a lot on my mind so I am going to cover a little more today, like some more about the Olympics, what I want to hear from Tiger Woods today, more on Miss State's fans, and about the big moves that happened near the NBA trade deadline. As far as games go we have got some good ones going on in the NBA today with the Cavs playing at Charlotte as the Bobcats, with new F Tyrus Thomas, fight to hold on to the 8th playoff spot, Milwaukee is 2 games BEHIND that 8th spot and they play at Detroit today, Dallas travels to Disney World to take on the Orlando Magic, in a game that I am really interested in is the red hot Miami Heat traveling to the land of Elvis to take on the Memphis Grizzlies who are trying to get themselves back in the playoff picture, than the Hawks travel to Arizona to take on the Phoenix Suns, and Boston, coming off their win over their rival the Lakers now travel to Portland to take on new Trail Blazer Marcus Camby. Hope you enjoy.

Thursday Feb 18th Daily Thoughts and Picks..... (computer prob day 1)

Hey there guys,
First things first. I am experiencing some major technical issues. The posts on this blog are going to be much smaller than previous ones until I can figure out what the problem is. I really hate technology. Anyway yesterday was actually a pretty good day as far as picks went as I managed to knock out 2-0 in SEC play as Tennessee held on to a close one against Georgia and Arkansas dealt South Carolina a tough loss. In the NBA I managed an 8-3 record bringing me to 17-4 since coming back from the All-Star break. Thank you for Patience guys I am going to see if I can't get my other writers to post some stuff whilst I try to fix this ridiculous recurring problem. On today's agenda I'll talk about the Oakland Raiders new contract for K Sebastian Janikowski. I lucked out (for today) in that there are only 4 games total. In SEC Basketball Auburn travels to Florida and ranked Vanderbilt continues their silent quest to take the SEC from Kentucky as they travel to Ole Miss, who needs a win to keep their NCAA hopes alive. The NBA has got two very solid games on TNT tonight with a couple of possible NBA Championship previews as Denver takes on Cleveland and Boston travels to arch rival Los Angeles to play the Lakers. Hope you enjoy.

2010 Winter Olympics: Day Six

Hey there guys,
This is a little late because I was having a lazy afternoon. It was nice. Anyway yesterday the United States was unable to bring home any Medals, as our best hope for a Medal, Lindsey Jacobellis, was disqualified. Again. Sigh. Anyway here is to hoping that today will go better for us.

Anyway here are the events for today: Alpine Skiing (Medal), Cross Country (Medal x2), Curling, Hockey, Luge (Medal), Short Track (Medal), Snowboarding (Medal), and Speed Skating (Medal).

Here is the current standings through 5 days of events:
1. Germany - 19pts (3G 4S 2B)
2. USA - 14pts (2G 2S 4B)
3. France - 12pts (2G 1S 4B)
4. Canada - 11pts (2G 2S 1B)
5. South Korea - 11pts (3G 1S)
6. Switzerland - 10pts (3G 1B)
7. China - 6pts (1G 1S 1B)
8. Sweden - 6pts (2G)
9. Norway - 5pts (2S 1B)
Austria - 5pts (2S 1B)
10. Slovakia - 5pts (3G 2S)
11. Italy - 4pts (1S 2B)
12. Czech Republic - 4pts (1G 1B)

What I can tell you is that the Americans came storming back today winning 6 Medals (3G 1S 2B) to take the lead in overall point standings. I am working hard to try and find a solution but what comes out over the next few days is going to be very little

Wednesday Feb 17th Daily Thoughts and Picks.....

Hey there guys,
Well yesterday was a pretty good day for me as I went 1-0 in SEC Men's Basketball as Kentucky defeated Mississippi State in a close one on the Road, I really don't want to go in to State's behavior but in short they called and text Kent F DeMarcus Cousins in the coming days and he said many were "racial", good job State way to set Mississippi Back 50 years, and than in the final seconds of the game when it became clear that Kentucky was going to win the Bulldog fans began to throw FULL water bottles at Kentucky players and coaches. Classless. Anyway in the NBA I went 9-1 as Derrick Rose dropped 29 points in the Bulls home win over New York, without Kobe for the 4th straight game the Lakers won by 10 thanks to Shannon Browns game leading 27 points, and Jason Richardson had 27 as the Phoenix Suns won at Memphis. Today I am going to talk a little more about the Olympics and Big East basketball, and I am also going to talk about why I think the Heat need to slow down their aggressive approach in going after Amare Stoudemire, and why Philly fans are ridiculous if they want McNabb gone. Today has also got some pretty good games as Georgia goes on the road to face division rival Tennessee and South Carolina takes on Arkansas in the Ozarks. The NBA has got some good games as well with Chicago, who just played New York in Chicago last night, turns around and heads to New York for round 2, the Jazz travel to Bourbon street and take on the Hornets, the red hot Suns (haha) go to Dallas to face the Mavericks, and in a game I actually want to see the Kings head out to play Golden State. It should be fun. I hope you enjoy.

Tuesday Feb 16th Daily Thoughts and Picks.....

Hey there guys,
Trying something new for the next week or so. I am going to rely some thoughts and opinions and basically just rant on here and than I will give my picks down at the bottom of the page. I am also going to start comparing how I am doing against the spread. Try to make this a little more entertaining. Since there were no games that I pick on yesterday there really is not much..well anything to recap. What I can tell you is that in my daily thoughts I cover the Olympics, Danica's Debut, College Basketball (Men's and Women's), and how the NBA All-Star Weekend went. This is the first one so it is most likely going to be the biggest. As far as games go we've got an interesting match up with Kentucky at Mississippi State, as the Bulldogs fight for their playoff lives and Kentucky tries to keep a hold on to first place in the SEC East. There are also some good games as the NBA picks back up with red hot Miami traveling to Philadelphia, Dallas hitting the road and playing Kevin "Durantula" (god awful nickname) and the Thunder, the Suns traveling to Memphis while the Grizzlies fight to remain in the playoff hunt, Utah goes to Houston, and Boston tries to get back their game with a road test at Sacramento. Hope you enjoy.

Feb 15th SEC Men's Basketball, NBA, and NHL Power Rankings

Hey there guys,
This weeks big moves in the SEC are Miss State jumping 3 places after home wins over Ole Miss and Auburn, in the NBA its the Miami Heat who closed out the first half blowing out Atlanta and Houston, and in the NHL its the Dallas Stars who finished the Pre Olympic Stretch on a hot streak. Those who dropped are Tennesee and Florida who both lost 2 games this past week and both were critical towards their post season future, in the NBA Memphis is starting to cool off at the wrong time dropping 3 spots, and in the NHL the Montreal Canadiens are struggling really bad right now as well. As always guys I love to know what you think.

Hey there guys,
Yesterday was an OK day as I went 5-2 in SEC Basketball as LSU gave Vanderbilt all they could handle even coming close to winning before the Commodores pulled it out in the end, Alabama took care of West leading Arkansas at home, South Carolina blew a 7 point lead with 3 minutes to go to lose on the road at Georgia, Auburn took Mississippi State to overtime before losing to the Dogs, Xavier upset Florida in Gainesville, and Tennessee played Kentucky one hell of a game before the 'Cats pulled away for the W. In the NHL I went 5-6 (I'm still trying to figure out these toothless bastards). Today is the last day of NHL games for a couple of weeks as the athletes will be playing for their respective countries in the Vancouver Olympics. As always guys let me know what you think.

2010 Signing Day Recap: Georgia Bulldogs

Hey there guys,
Today we will be taking a look at the Georgia Bulldog's 2010 Signing Day class. This past season was a bit of a struggle for the Bulldogs, although they did finish 2nd in the SEC East, they finished 8-5 (4-4), and finished the season whooping Texas A&M by 24 in the Independence Bowl. In the off season the Bulldogs HC Mark Richt fired most of the defensive staff so defense is definitely a key for this class. Defensive Line and Secondary were the main needs in the off season for the Bulldogs.

Hey there guys,
There were only NHL games yesterday since SEC doesn't have Friday games and the NBA is having its All-Star weekend this weekend but I had a good day in the NHL going 5-2. Today there are some GREAT NHL games but there are also some very interesting match ups in SEC Basketball as well with, LSU at Vanderbilt, South Carolina at Georgia, Arkansas at Alabama, Auburn at Mississippi State, and Tennessee at Kentucky as the big one tonight. Also today Florida plays an out of conference game at home against Xavier. Should be fun. As always guys let me know what you think.

Today's installment of 2010 Signing Day Recap will be covering the Florida Gators, who are coming off a 13-1 (8-1) season that ended with a loss in the SEC Championship Game to eventual National Champion Alabama and than DESTROYING Cincinnati in the Sugar Bowl. This has been an interesting offseason with all of the drama surrounding Head Coach Urban Meyer and also Defensive Coordinator Charlie Strong left to be the HC at Louisville.

Hey there guys,
Well yesterday was another alright day for me in the SEC I went 1-0 as Mississippi State won behind the Right Hook of Jarvis Varnado, and perhaps one of the worst officiated games I have ever watched. Ever. Call me biased. I don't care. But I have never seen a player punch another player and NOT get ejected. ANYWAY In the NBA I went 1-1 as Cleveland beat Orlando in an absolutely GREAT game that I hope we get to see later in a series, and the Spurs nailed by 19 on the road. In the NHL I went 3-4. Well there are no basketball games today as the SEC is off today and the NBA is having All-Star Weekend. So NHL only! As always guys let me know what you think.

2010 Signing Day Recap: Auburn Tigers

Alright guys sorry for the delay but school work and recovering from the my Saints first Super Bowl win took me a few days to get to this. Anyway today's installment covers the Auburn Tigers who finished the season 8-5 (3-5) with an Overtime Outback Bowl victory against Northwestern. Hey there guys,
Yesterday was an ok ish kind of day for me as I went 3-0 in SEC Basketball with Arkansas blowing out LSU at home despite Tiger F Tasmin Mitchell's double double, South Carolina came from behind in the second half to defeat Florida 77-71, and Auburn got up early on Georgia and kept a large lead from there on out winning 83-62. In the NBA I went 5-5, as Kobe-less for the third straight game the Lakers are now 3-0 without him as they won again at Utah behind Paul Gasol's 19 rebounds, Stephen Jackson's 33 points helped Charlotte to a 1 point road win at Minnesota, and than rookie Stephen Curry lead Golden State to a 30 point trouncing of the LA Clippers as he recorded his first career triple double. In the NHL I went 4-4 as my Predators pulled off a win in New York against the Rangers. Today there are some solid games, in the SEC, Ole Miss @ Miss State, as the Bulldogs look to get back on track, in the NBA, there are only 2 as this is the last day before the All-Star weekend this season, but they are both great games as the Orland Magic travel to Cleveland in a rematch of last years Conference Finals and what may be a preview of this years Finals, and than later the Spurs travel to Denver in a battle of Western teams, and then there are some fun games in the NHL as well. As always guys let me know what you think.

Wednesday Feb 10th Picks

Hey there guys,
It was a pretty good day for me yesterday as I went 2-0 in SEC Basketball with Vanderbilt grabbing a huge lead on Tennessee in the 1st half and keeping it that way as Beal had another big game, and then Kentucky relied on defense to hold off a Crimson Tide team that looked like it wanted to play a full 40 minutes. In the NBA I went 8-3 as Atlanta won a big one on the road at Memphis and Denver, fueled by the return of Carmelo Anthony, blew out Dallas by 36 points. In the NHL I went 4-3. Today we have some solid NBA games, with Boston playing on the road at New Orleans, Orlando traveling to Chicago, the Lakers taking on the Jazz in Utah, and even the Clippers at the Warriors looking like a pretty good game. There are also some pretty good NHL games along with a few SEC Basketball games, LSU @ Arkansas, Florida @ South Carolina, and Georgia @ Auburn.

Hey there guys,
Yesterday was a great day for me, I went 3-0 in the NBA as Vince Carter dropped 48 in a comeback over the Hornets, the Mavericks had a ridiculous 4th quarter in their 127-117 win over Golden State, and then the Lakers beat the Spurs 101-89. In the NHL I went 4-1, but the best news I got yesterday was that I got a job at Huntsville Times. Should be fun. Well we've got a couple of SEC Basketball games tonight as Tennessee goes on the road to Nashville to play Vanderbilt and then Alabama travels north to play the Kentucky Wildcats. There are also some good NBA games and some great NHL match ups. As always guys let me know what you think.

Feb 8th SEC Basketball, NBA, and NHL Power Rankings

Hey there guys, sorry this is so late but I am in school and I did have a test today so I finished up some studying before I got to this. Anyway some of the biggest movers this week are Alabama falling a few spots in the SEC after some letdowns in the 2nd half, Florida jumped up a couple spots as they start to gain some momentum, and even after a home loss to Arkansas I'm really starting to like Georgia and the direction they are headed. The biggest risers in the NBA are Utah, Phoenix, Milwaukee and Washington while the biggest fallers are Atlanta, Dallas, and Detroit. In the NHL there was a lot of movement, highlighted by Los Angeles' jump in to the top 3, Buffalo dropping out of the top 10, Anaheim and Montreal moving into the top 20, and the continuous fall of the NY Islanders. Alright guys as always I love hearing your opinions so let me know what you think.

Monday Feb 8th Picks

Hey there guys, what a great Super Bowl Sunday as I watched three of the greatest games I have ever seen yesterday. I watched the Washington Capitals go to overtime with the Pittsburgh Penguins before winning in a shootout and upping their win streak up to 14!, then I watched my Orlando Magic come from behind in the second half to upset the Boston Celtics 96-89, and then I watched an AMAZING Super Bowl game in which my Saints won their first Super Bowl in as many appearances in a great QB Dual 31-17, where which ever Quarterback made the biggest mistake lost. As far as my picks I went 1-1 in both the NBA and the NHL, and I was a Reggie Wayne dropped touchdown away from picking the right score in the Super Bowl (My Pick: Saints 31-24). Anyway guys its going to be a slow Monday as there are only 8 games today between the NBA and NHL. As always guys let me know what you think.

Super Bowl XLIV Preview

Well here we are guys. The greatest sporting event known to man. When the Game is sometimes just as entertaining as the Commercials. And this year the Super Bowl hosts two of the most exciting offenses in the League, with two of the biggest names at Quarterback. And that is the biggest attraction of this game. The two Quarterbacks. One is known for helping save a city, and the other is known for being the best at his position. And they go head to head, a win solidifying one as a legitimate Hall of Fame candidate and the other as the Greatest Quarterback of all time. Drew Brees vs. Peyton Manning.

Sunday Jan 7th Picks

Alright guys yesterday was an interesting day for me. I went 4-1 in SEC Basketball as Arkansas came back from a halftime deficit for the 4th time in a row to grab sole possession of first place in the SEC West, Mississippi State banked in just about every conceivable shot but still couldn't pull out a win in Gainesville losing to Florida 69-62, Kentucky took LSU behind the barn and did nasty things to them 81-55, Ole Miss came back from being down 40-20 at halftime to beat Alabama 74-67, Tennessee was all over the Fighting Devan Downey's 79-53, and Georgia pulled off yet another upset of a ranked team at home beating Vanderbilt 72-58. In the NBA I went 8-3 and in the NHL I went 8-6. Well there are only 4 Non-Football games today. My Super Bowl pick will come out shortly after this.

Hey there guys, first off I am having internet troubles so I apologize for this coming late, and yesterday was kind of rough on me as I was just absolutely way off with my picks. I went 4-6 in the NBA and 2-3 in the NHL, my worst day as far as the NBA is concerned and one of my worst since I've started picking NHL. Woof. Oh well I hope today goes a little better. I've been working on recruiting and Super Bowl stuff so my mind hasn't exactly been at the top of my game but I'll see if i can improve upon my record today. As always let me know what you think.

Alright guys its that time again. Time for my daily picks. Yesterday was a pretty solid day as I went 1-1 in SEC Men's Basketball as Florida had yet another last second win on the road at Alabama 66-65 and than Tennessee held off a late run by the Bayou Bengals and Tennessee won 59-54. In the NBA I went 2-0 and in the NHL I went 6-3. I'm happy with that haha. Alright guys we got some solid games in the NBA and NHL today so as you wait for the Super Bowl and continuously look over your recruiting class hopefully these games will help pass the time. As always guys leave some comments and let me know what you think.

Thursday Feb 4th Picks

Hey there guys yesterday was another pretty good day as far as picks went. I went 1-1 in the SEC as Georgia blew a 12 point halftime lead and for the 3rd time in as many games Arkansas had 2nd half comeback upset. In fact the last two have been on the road. Look out for the Hogs? In the other game Vanderbilt and Mississippi State played a fairly even game and Vandy held off a final comeback by the Dogs for a 75-72 win. In NBA I went 8-3 and in the NHL I went 2-3 (ok not so good). But today has some solid games. As always guys let me know what you think.

Hey guys I know it's National Signing Day so nobody really cares about other sports today haha. Well yesterday was another decent day as far as picks went. I won the Ole Miss @ Kentucky game as Ole Miss fought but never really made it close losing 85-75, and than I went 5-2 in the NBA and 4-3 in NHL. Well while you guys are enjoying National Signing Day there will also be some good games to cap off your exciting morning/early afternoon. As always guys let me know what you think.

Hey there guys, it was a bit of a rough day for me yesterday. I went 4-3 in the NBA as Miami fell on their face at home against Milwaukee (one of the worst road teams in the NBA) the Hornets, without Chris Paul, lost to Phoenix, and Memphis upset the Lakers despite Kobe becoming the Lakers all time leading leading scorer, passing Jerry West. Well today we've got an SEC Basketball game with Ole Miss at Kentucky, and some solid NBA and NHL games as well. As always guys let me know what you think.

Monday Feb 1st Picks

Hey there guys. Yesterday was alright as far as my picks go, I went 1-1 in SEC Men's Basketball as Tennessee's Scotty Hopson hit the game winning bucket to beat red hot Florida 61-60, and than Arkansas finished off their second straight come from behind upset this week upsetting Ole Miss in Oxford 80-73. In the NBA I did get to watch the Lakers beat Boston by 1, and I went 6-3 for the day yesterday there and I went 3-3 in the NHL. Well guys today has got some more interesting games including another tough road test for Kobe's Lakers as they go on the road to the surprising Memphis Grizzlies. Hope you guys enjoy.
