May 24th MLB Power Rankings

Hey there guys,

This will have been my first MLB Power Rankings in a long time but I am getting back to this and will be putting these up every Monday. We open up with the (1) Rays, a team that I thought would miss the Wild Card, up on top with the (2) Phillies, and their NL Best Record are in the 2nd spot. The Rest of the Top Ten includes the slightly slumping (3) New York Yankees and (4) St. Louis Cardinals, the (6) LA Dodgers sandwiched in between the surprising (5) San Diego Padres, and even more surprising (7) Toronto Blue Jays, the (8) Twins are a very good team going through a cold streak right now, two NL East teams, the (9) and the (10) Braves, both are battling to finish behind the Phillies and earn that ultra competitive NL Wild Card. The (11) Boston Red Sox are currently 4th in the AL East but are fighting tooth and nail to get back in the mix of things, the (12) Tigers are using their powerful offense to try their best to keep up with the Twins in the Central, the (13) Reds are playing fantastic baseball until they ran into the Braves this past week, I think the (14) Giants are just shocked that the Padres are in first place right now, the (15) Rangers are in first place in the West but are quite possibly the worst division leader in all of baseball, (16) Colorado is a good team that has to figure out how to surpass the Giants, Padres, and Dodgers, the (17) Mets are only still in this because of how competitive each team after Philly is, the next 3 teams, the (18) Cubs, (19) A's, (20) and Angels are all dealing with high expectations and relative failure thus far. The Bottom 10 is filled mostly with teams that are used to being there, like the (24) Royals, (28) Indians, and (29) Orioles, and two teams that look to be on the rise in (21) Washington and (26) Pittsburgh, while the rest of the bottom ten, the (22) Diamondbacks, (23) White Sox, (25) Mariners, and (27) Brewers are very disappointed to be here. (30) Houston knew this was coming. Meet the Rams/Oilers/Nets ladies and Gentleman.
