5/13 Recap and 5/14 Picks

Yesterday was a fairly short day for Baseball as there were only 8 games but it was still filled with some excitement, mainly from the Orioles who were down 5-1 heading into the bottom of the 8th but would score 5 runs, 4 coming from a Luke Scott Grand Slam to beat the Mariners 6-5; Bud Norris went 8 innings, giving up 6 hits and 1 run while striking out 8, as the Astros swept the 4 game series from the Cardinals with a 4-1 win; The Tigers blanked the Yankees 6-0; Mat Latos threw a complete game 1 hit shutout with 6 K's as he outdueled Jonathan Sanchez, who went 8 innings giving up 3 hits and 1 run, as the Padres got by the Giants 1-0; Vladimir Guerrero's walkoff single in the 12th gave the Rangers a 2-1 win over the Athletics; Josh Johnson went 7 innings, giving up 3 hits and 1 run, striking out 7 along the way, as the Marlins scored on a Wild Pitch in the bottom of the 9th to upend the Mets 2-1; Zach Greinke didn't have his best stuff but they Powerful Day Time offense of the Royals backed him up and got him his first win as they nipped the Indians 6-4; Ryan Zimmerman's 2 homers and 6 RBI was just part of the explosion from the Nationals offense as Washington beat the Rockies 14-6 in Colorado.
