Wednesday April 14th Picks

Hey there guys,
Well yesterday was an eh day as I went 5-4 (3-6 ATS) in MLB. I am currently working out the Kinks in a brand new calculation for baseball (so many numbers!) so we'll see how it plays out when the statistics even out (like Carlos Zambrano's era). Hopefully today will be better. Before the end of the day I will post my NHL Stanley Cup Playoff Picks for Round 1. Exciting? Damn skippy. Hope you guys enjoy.

4/13 Recap and 4/14 Preview and Picks

Well yesterday was a great day of baseball as only 3 games were separated by more 3 or more runs as the Tigers used a 6 run 7th to just barely take out the Royals 6-5; the Dodgers are beginning to look like the Dodgers I thought they would look like after beating the Diamondbacks 9-5; a grand slam in the 9th wasn't enough for the Angels as the Yankees won 7-5; Brandon Philips went 4/6 and 2rbi for the Reds and Cody Ross went 2/4 1hr and 4rbi for the Marlins in an extra innings shoot out which the Reds won 10-8; the Rays beat the Orioles 8-6 despite the great offensive performance by O Ty Wigginton (2/5 2hr 3rbi); the Rockies jumped out to an 8-0 lead after a 6 run 3rd and never looked back as they eventually beat the Mets 11-3; Ricky Romero went 8 innings of 1 hit 2 run baseball striking out a career high 12 as the Blue Jays won 4-2 over the White Sox, improving Toronto's record to 6-2 to open the season; the Pirates scored the 3 runs over the last two innings and then held on in the bottom of the 9th as they defeated the Giants 6-5 in San Francisco; and the Mariners Doug Fister went 8 shutout innings and the Mariners beat the A's 3-o.

Today there are some solid games that will be very interesting to see how they play out as the Red Sox take on the Twins in game 2 at Target Field, the White Sox take on the Blue Jays, the only reason I keep mentioning the Blue Jays is because they keep winning, the Braves look to bounce back after getting destroyed by the Padres in game 1 17-2, the Athletics take on the Mariners in their 7th meeting so far this season, and the Diamondbacks and the Dodgers keep up their interesting battle tonight as well.
